She's "19 and Growing Up" - Ode to her fans!
It's June
1st, 2007! This marks Nami Tamaki's 19th Birthday. A Special Birthday
Wish goes out to Nami from all her fans at K-S.
Nami has been
quite the busy pop star since her 18th Birthday. Her 3rd studio album,
"Speciality" was released in July in reached #1 on the Oricon charts
for it's debut week.
March 2007 marked Nami Tamaki's High
School Graduation. As fit, in November, Sony released a special
compilation album "BEST~Graduation Singles~" as a mark in her career;
it's a transition from girl to woman. This BEST compilation included
all of her previous singles, her pseudo-single-Princess Princess-cover
"19 Growing Up - ode to my buddy", and a special video of Nami's very
first live in front of Sony: "FULL MOON PRAYER".
It was
announced soon after the release of "BEST~Graduation Singles~" that
Nami would have a special concert memorializing this special event for
her and her fans. Throughout March, Nami had a tour "BEST Concert~My
Graduation~", which featured Nami's singles and a select few B-Sides
chosen by her fans on an online poll. A DVD for this event will be
released on June 23, 2007. Keep you eyes peeled for it!
You
can't forget Nami's graduation single either! "CROSS SEASON" was
released on March 14, 2007. This song had a very different emotion
compared to any other Nami work. Featuring soothing melodies, and
nostalgic lyrics, this marked a possible turn of genre for Nami. The
B-Sides proved this more so, in a different direction.
Nami is still busy. She has recently been chosen for the lead in the Japanese Broadway Version of "High School Musical", along with NEWS member Koyama. She will be performing as Gabrielle, and they will take place throughout June and July. Hopefully this can bring in some newfound, and well-deserved talent for Nami. If it becomes popular in Japan, we can always hope for a movie version, or even a CD with all the songs included! Keep Busy Nami!
Also, Nami has
been chosen for the 2nd opening theme for D.Gray man, which is an
action anime. This song is "Brightdown", and features a very edgy,
rock tune, which could be her new direction. We are awaiting news on a
probable single release!
Thank you again for visiting our site,
and be sure to check out our forums to meet some new friends! Again,
Happy Birthday to our dearest JPop Princess, Nami Tamaki! ^__^

Happy December everyone! The time
has begun to enter your names for our first ever Keep-Smiling contest.
You can Email us or sign up on our very fun Nami forum and look at all
the info there. We will be giving away a Nami 2006 calendar and Nami
photobook for sure. We are also looking for what other prizes we can
give away. Hopefully there will be four total prizes. The deadline for
the contest will be December 15th and after that I will have a lottery
to see who has a chance to win the Nami prizes. So step number one is
putting your name down for the contest. Step two is getting lucky and
Step three is answering some pretty easy Nami trivia questions. Better
hurry if you want a chance to win. Please ask us any questions you have
at all.
11/24/05
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Well
the holidays are here and I have some good news for you Nami fans. Keep
Smiling will be having it's very first Nami contest. More information
will be up on the main page soon as well as our forums. So far I can
tell you that we are leaning towards giving away a 2006 Nami calendar.
We are still deciding on if it will be trivia or just a random drawing.
It is also possible that we will be giving away more than one prize, so
look here or on the forums to try and win a great Nami prize for
Christmas. Good luck!

With the release of her single Get Wild earlier this week, the month of
November is a big one for Nami. She will be performing Get Wild live
this upcoming Friday on Pop Jam and Music Fighter. We anticipate those
two lives to be amazing. Pop Jam will be aired live, but the Music
Fighter live is taped earlier, we believe. Nami will also be in many
Music magaznies during the month of November promoting her single. Wink
up, Girl pop, and CD Deeta are just some of the Magazines she is in.
You can also find the entire list of magaznies Nami will be in on her
official site. I hope everyone bought there copies of Get Wild because
it is sugoi ne!

Sorry about this really late update, but I hope this will be worth your
while. Nami's 9th single 'Get Wild" has been confirmed for November
2nd,
2005 release. I have heard a sample of the song and I can assure you
that it is fantastic, like all her past songs. Pre-orders can be
taken at Cdjapan.
We have speculations on the upcoming 'Make Progress ~road to~' concert
DVD based on her July 29th concert held at the Zepp in Tokyo. Nami
will be singing many songs (at least 15) and a huge medley. I would
also like to inform you briefly about some of Nami's 'Make Progress
~road to~'
concert items that were available for purchase at each of her concert
locations.
The first being the program guide. The program was smaller than
expected, but
were filled with beautiful images of Nami. The wrist bands and T-Shirts
were
beautiful. Very worth it. The bag was very nice as well, but just a bit
difficult to keep in great condition. We really recommend the program,
T-Shirts, wristband,
bag, and towel. They are worth buying. You definitely will not regret
it. Two Last things. We have sent the fan book to Nami! We will be
confirming it to you all when she recieves it. Also, those who have not
joined the forums please do so. The main page is only an introduction. All
of our club discussions and activities can be viewed in the forums. Please join
and participate. Thank you!
